Our Instructors
Here at Parkside our instructors believe in student success. We have a thorough knowledge of the road laws and driving techniques. Our instructors teach practical and theoretical driving skills in a friendly, responsible way. We provide students with ideas for improving driving skills, and explain the basic mechanical working of a vehicle.

Kyle Anglesey
After studying in Europe for several years, Kyle adds his experiences and personality to our Pasco location. In addition to English, he speaks German, Dutch, French, and Czech. Always learning new things, Kyle enjoys expanding his knowledge and spending time with his young family, reading comic books, and watching movies.

Ben Archibald
Ben studied driver education and health sciences at Brigham Young University and enjoys seeing students improve as they develop their understanding and driving skills. A caring, patient instructor, Ben strives to help each student succeed in the classroom and behind the wheel. When he's not teaching from our Richland classroom he enjoys spending time with his wife and triplet daughters and playing football.

Mike Carlson
Mike holds a teaching certificate in Business Education as well as teaching driver education and serving as an instructor trainer. He teaches at an alternative school and works mostly in the Richland and KiBe Classes.

Terri Constance
Educating students is nothing new to Terri. Students have been appreciating her kind demeanor for over 15 years. She has a passion for war veterans, enjoys gardening and loves to visit the San Juan Islands.

Ken Fletcher
Ken joined the Parkside team in 2007, bringing with him years of experience in theater. Ken enjoys watching the confidence level of students grow week by week and finds satisfaction in knowing that he is teaching students skills that will be used for the rest of their lives. He stays involved in theater productions in his free time, and enjoys reading, sports, and computers.

Ashley Hammond
Graduated as a WSU Cougar with a BA in Advertising and Business and moved to Yakima in early 2005 with her husband and daughter. Ashley is great at working with teens and finds teaching a wonderful experience.

Sheldon Homer
A small business owner himself, Sheldon has been a life-long resident of the Tri-Cities. He enjoys teaching students and looks forward to teaching his own children how to drive. His other interests include golf, spending time with family, computers, and electronics.

Alicia Jakeman
With a voice and personality developed during 5 years of radio broadcasting, Alicia creates a class environment that is engaging and brings home powerful messages about safety. She has been enjoying the enthusiasm of new drivers at Parkside since 2006 and is closely related to two other instructors in the Yakima location. Alicia is an avid reader, plays the piano, and has been to a McDonald's in five different countries.

Eli Jakeman
Eli started teaching driver education with Parkside in 2007 and is continually amazed at the growth he sees in students from the beginning of the course to the end. We are fortunate to have his teaching expertise in our Yakima location and you will find he enjoys getting to know each student personally. He is involved in the community as a leader for a local Boy Scout troop and enjoys photography, model airplanes, and reading (especially military history).

Michelle McLeod
With over 10 years of experience as a school bus driver, Michelle has spent thousands of hours on local roads. She has also been a driver for Dial-A-Ride and tour busses. Licensed as a driving instructor in 2009, her students recognize her sense of humor and friendly demeanor. Although currently working her way towards a degree in Social Psychology, Michelle also finds time to enjoy sharing breakfast or lunch with friends, walking, and painting.

Joe Meyer
Joe is in the final stages of an elementary certification through Heritage University. As a Tri-City native, he has a personal passion for student success and positive learning experience.

Anthony Westbrook
Currently a student himself, Anthony has been an instructor since 2007. Students enjoy his sense of humor and straight-forward demeanor. Anthony speaks Spanish and knows firsthand the dangers of driving in Argentina. He has been seen riding around Yakima on a pink scooter.

John Wildschut
Following a career working with youth at risk through Job Corps and youth ranches, John has developed a patient wisdom and positive humor for driver training.

Joe Powers
Joe, who also is employed by Pasco School District, began working in our Richland location in 2009. An avid football fan and coach, Joe enjoys working with new drivers and seeing their progression during the behind-the-wheel training. He enjoys teenagers' sense of humor and has lived in Tanzania and Uganda.

Jennifer Beddard
Jennifer Beddard graduated from Brigham Young University-Idaho with a degree in Family Consumer Science and currently works as a substitute teacher for several of the school districts in the Yakima Valley. Additionally, Jennifer and her husband, Scott, are working with her parents in the family's seasonal business. Her other interests include: baking, sewing, reading, playing sports and games, doing Turbo Jam, and spending time with her husband, their families and friends.
